I HAVE A FOLLOWER

Yay!! I officially have my very first follower! My dear sweet best friend Amanda obviously felt sorry for me!! Ha!! Seriously, why wouldn't anyone not WANT to follow me......???

So, last night I made my famous cake. It was A-mazing! Seriously. It's Mark's absolute favorite cake that I make. Actually it's not the cake that's so good. It's the icing. It's like tasting little drops of heaven. Really, I am not joking. I am actually REALLY good at baking/cooking. It's a curse. Seriously. Anyways, Amanda requested I post the recipe.

First off, go to Wal-Mart and buy a Pillsbury white cake mix. $.88. And yes, I know it's not homemade. I have made a white cake homemade before. The Pillsbury one is much easier to make & tasted better actually. Hey, I may be a slacker, but at least I'm a smart slacker who can make good cake. Ok, now for the icing. Be prepared to "cringe" at the ingredients. Actually, I think when you mix it with the mixer it takes all the calories out... ya know, it's like exercise for food. No??? Ok, maybe not.

Calorie free caramel icing....NOT!
(I thought this sounded better than just, "caramel icing"....no?

bring 1 stick of butter and 1 cup of brown sugar to a slow boil...(about medium heat). Once boiling, add 1/4 cup of milk. Bring back to a slow boil. Once boiling add 1 tsp. of vanilla. Remove from heat & add 2 cups of powdered sugar. Mix with mixer. You may need to add a little more milk or powdered sugar to get desired thickness. Frost cake after it cools. Eat, enjoy and try not to think about the calories. =)

I usually make this cake for Mark if I have to give him some "bad" news. Ya know, like I balanced the checkbook wrong... forgot to pay a bill...spilled Diet Dr. Pepper on the computer keyboard, ya know, typical wifey errors?? He usually forgives.

We got our tax refund today & I was SOOOO excited I went to go shopping at my FAVORITE place ever.....Goodwill!! Found the hubs a sweet Express shirt, some Gap jeans, a Baby Lulu outfit for Boogs, and a cute green dress for myself! Maybe I'll find something for Shoogs next time I go, which will probably be tomorrow. They actually know me there... I seriously go like several time a week. Sad?? Hey, at least it's a frugal addiction?

Oh... almost forgot my sweet hubs preached an AWESOME message tonight. I'm so proud of him!! My favorite preacher ever.... and the cutest also!! LOVE HIM!!! =)

Guess I'll get off of here & try to get some sleep. I'm going to venture out to Tulsa tomorrow & try to find some barstools, and a mini kitchen table. Yay! That refund is just BURNING a hole in my pocket!!

Ciao for now!

Monday

Ok, so a little over a month ago I decided I would start blogging. I was SO excited! I see all these really cool blogs & think, I could totally do that. I am interesting. I have funny, interesting stories. People would totally want to follow me. So, it took my like 2 hours to figure out how to put the background and change the font and stuff. Yes, I'm brilliant I know. So, that my friends is why I haven't done anything in the last month. I finally put a pic up of me and the girlies tonight. Hopefully, I'll figure it all out. I'm not really sure who I am talking to, because as of right now I have no followers.

So Monday, Monday, Monday. I ALWAYS have an interesting Monday. Cadence has been running fever, so I slept with them last night. So, I was just a "little" groggy this morning. I fell into the dresser in our bedroom & now have 2 new lovely bruises the size of Texas. Nice. My best friend told me it was a good thing my mom didn't name me Grace. She is right. So, I spent the whole day cleaning, doing laundry, you know, typical Monday mom stuff. Sooooo.... it takes me FOREVER to get the girlies to go to sleep tonight. Gracie in particular. I FINALLY think she is out & come into my bedroom, about thirty seconds later, in she walks, binky in her mouth, with that silly grin asking for mik...(milk). So, she eventually falls to sleep in our bed. So, as I'm getting up to get on the computer, I notice that her sippy cup leaked milk all over my freshly washed sheets. (On my side I might add) I am SO looking forward to getting into the bed. Guess we'll have clean sheets tomorrow night. Always something!!! ha!!

Ok... so if in the rare event that someone does decide to "follow" me, they might ask what is Shoogaboogs Mom??? Well, from the time Cadence was just a wee little 5lb. 13 oz. peanut, we have been calling her Boogie...Boogie Woogie... or most of the time now it's just Boogs. So, when I was pregnant with Gracie Mark decided her nickname would be Shoogs. So that's the story behind that.

Well, I've done enough chatting, and I better get myself in the bed. Hubs has been snoring for well over an hour and we are supposed to get up and excercise. I'll let you know how that goes!!! Ha!!

Ciao for now!!!
